It's been a crazy two week and it's time for some rest and pushing out some content.
The rush of speed is what brought locals and travelers to the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater on Saturday. It was the inaugural New Albany Drone Cup.
“We just came out to see the drones,” said spectator Nick Whitaker, who drove up from Simpsonville with his wife for the event.
“We never experienced it before. We never owned [a drone] or anything like that. … We just wanted to take part and see what it was all about.”
Due to rain and thunderstorm warnings, we had to postpone the date of the event to June 10th. It will not happen on the last weekend of April.
The New Albany Cup will be hosted at the Riverfront Amphitheater. It is located below the East Main Street at the foot of Pearl Street. This venue is a home to numerous concerts, productions, festivals and other events. The New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater, a facility owned by the City of New Albany, Indiana.
